Weaving Installations

My focus is the construction of curvilinear and gestural installations that weave through space as a needle enters and exits a fabric. I focus on engaging the gallery patrons to view the physical forms and the shadows as part of their experience. I am most interested in the relationship of space, volume and shadow play. There is a definite intention to bend and shape curvilinear forms that reference fluidity and motion. I look at the work to fill the space with volume of energy of swooping, orbs, aerodynamic vessels, shapes. There is no blueprint to what I make, it’s intuitive that is organically engineered.
